Thanks for your bug report and helping to make Ubuntu a better place.
Unfortunately this is completely out of the hands of empathy and
telepathy as Facebook controls whats sent to empathy. I have personally
addressed this with empathy developers, and the only workaround is to
move all contacts into a list you create. Call it "Facebook" and on
empathy you will then have a group called "Facebook".
