Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: yelp

2 har drives on Karmic full update sda and sdb. OS sits on sda, data on
sdb.

whenever a partition is schedules during boot to be checked and the
checking takes longer than the boot process some partitions are not
mounted from sdb. It looks to me that the checking process continues
while karmic is booting and when it reaches the mounting routing for
fstab the drive that is still under fsck is dropped.
