Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-panel

I have performed a lot of experiments with this bug and found out that
when a panel in Ubuntu or Mint is set to non-expanded mode, then at
various times (unpredictable), window buttons will fail to be visible.
I'm using Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic Koala. Here is my system's information...

I created this document by using the "sudo lshw -html > My-Laptop.html"
command.

It seems as if this bug is caused by a lack of "refresh" of the gnome
panel. I am no developer though.

Please let me know what other information I can acquire to help you guys
and gals out!
