Compiz is the catalyst here when it is set to normal mode the copy paste
bug in the previews post appears.

When we turn on advanced settings the copy and paste bug seems to
disappear in part see below.

We turn it off and it it seems to have gone completely.

The select, copy and click on new location and paste bit works fine.
