Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: gnome-panel
It seems that the gconf configuration has mentions of the applet for
people who removed it from their configuration which breaks the code
which adds the applet back when upgrading to lucid, it leads the users
who removed the message indicator because they don't use it to get none
of the application indicators after upgrading to lucid
