Ubuntu 9.10, nautilus 1:2.28.1-0ubuntu3 How to recreate: Use Nautilus to copy a large number of files from an unencrypted file system to an ecryptfs file system. Make sure that at least one of the files has a file name that is too long for ecryptfs (see https://bugs.launchpad.net/ecryptfs/+bug/344878 ) Expected behavior: Nautilus should open a dialog to inform the user that there was an error, but should continue copying the remaining files. Actual behavior: Nautilus opens a dialog to inform the user that there was an error, and pauses the file transfer until the user chooses an action. Why this is a bug: Large file transfers often take hours, and are left unattended by users. Pausing for user interaction forces the user to babysit the process.
