Woah!  I wouldn't go /that/ far!  But at least you'd be able to resize
windows, eh?  :-)

If you don't change your theme much, I recommend following the
instructions I posted way back in comment 58
(https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/metacity/+bug/160311/comments/58).

It's clunky and manual, but it works and results in a usable theme
regardless of which one you choose.  And with Lucid in interface freeze,
this isn't getting fixed for another 6 months now.
