Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: evolution

When composing a new PLAIN email and saving as draft. On entering the
email again to finish composing the email the first line is wrapping
after one character,; so "Hello World" becomes "H" <line break> "ello
World". If I create an email with the first line blank, every time the
email is saved then opened for editing another blank line is inserted at
the top of the email resulting in text creep.

Similar problems were also noted in the signature. Lines at the top of
the signature block (identified by the dotted line when you put the
cursor on the signature) multiply with each save and reopen. So the text
moves down the page and signature as well.

I have moved to using HTML and the exact same thing is happening.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Create new email. By default I have a signature.
2. Type "Hi," <hit enter>
3. Save.
4. Reopen.
5. In all my attempts I get "H" <line break> "i," followed by the rest of the
text, and an extra line in the signature box.
