This is a regression.
I had Karmic on Asus Eee PC 1005PE and had brightness set at 100%.
After upgrading to Lucid Beta 1 I have noticed a darker display.
cat /proc/acpi/video/VGA/LCDD/brightness
levels: 0 3 6 9 12 16 19 21 24 27 29 30 32 33 34 36
current: 36
Testing it, I figured out that level 30 is the brightest, 32 is off and
upper levels are just like the first levels, maybe 36 being equivalent
to level 24.
$ lsb_release -rd

$ lspci | grep VGA
