Yes, I know that lucid will be released shortly. But I myself will not
be upgrading immediately because I am working on a long project and I
want to wait until that is finished. The project involves a lot of
scanned-paper PDF files, which is why I was asking about a backport. I
suppose I will continue to use Okular.

BTW, every PDF I tried is anti-aliased with the patch in lucid. These
are all black-and-white images, in varying resolutions (150-600 dpi).
The comment above indicating that the patch is not working for all
images concerns color images. Maybe that is a meaningful difference.
