Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: nautilus

Whenever I change a theme, a white "boarder" (~1 pixel outline) appears
around the edge of the desktop. I might not sound like much, but it's
rather annoying...

I've tried changing themes multiple times, "wiping it off" (covering it
with menus/windows), but nothing like that seems to work. However,
performing a "killall nautilus" does correct the issue*

One final detail: it's more than just a visual artifact of some kind -
the (right-click) menu cannot/will not open on the line - only on the
main part of the desktop.

*killing nautilus used to be a pain, as it was always difficult,
unreliable, and slow to reload. To whoever/whatever has changed to
correct this and make it reappear flawlessly and promptly (as it now
does), my deepest thanks go out to you for this!! It's simple little
experience enhancements like this that can take something from feeling
"thick", slow, and bloated, to feeling lightweight, clean, and
efficient!

** Affects: nautilus (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New

** Description changed:
