Binary package hint: plymouth
After recent lucid updates, am unable to login to Desktop. The login was
just bouncing back to login screen, but now a little terminal opens.
$ lsb_release -rd

3. I expect to be able to log in.
4. A small terminal opens on top of the login splash; if I type 'exit', the
window closes, Am returned to login screen.
