Included are logs for both accessing a remote (sshfs) and local CBR file (same file, ~81.4MB in size). When using the suggested process <https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Valgrind> and replicating the attempts to open it the app hangs for 4+ mins.
As an aside: the system automatically assigned evince as the default app for CBR and CBZ file types. I normally use 'comix' and both Karmic and Lucid have the same issue: it opens CBZs fine, but won't open CBRs. As it turns out, something is hardcoded to 'libstdc++5', instead of being able to see v.6 <http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1339323>. So I simply install v.5 from an earlier distro and comix can see CBRs again. After the evince issue, I have done just that in Lucid and am using comix without issue. ** Attachment added: "valgrind-logs-evince.tar.gz" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/43584543/valgrind-logs-evince.tar.gz -- evince assert failure: *** glibc detected *** evince: munmap_chunk(): invalid pointer: 0xb5e00e18 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/558852 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to evince in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
