Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: empathy

Golly, golly gosh.

When sending text of a certain size, whatever the hardwired limit is in
msn i suppose, empathy does not warn you that it will not be sent.
Instead it acts as though it has been sent.

There needs to be a pop up box telling people that the message is over x
characters and is too long to send. Otherwise people like me think they
are having conversations, but are actually talking to nobody at all.

** Affects: empathy (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
