I have the same problem. If I do not close evolution, but simply go directly to shutdown, than the next time I open up evolution it sents seemingly randomly emails from the same day. They some how fall back into the outbox and get resent and show up in sent items. When I look through my sent items, many emails get sent out several times, till I delete the stuck ones in the outbox manually or often after closing evolution and than waiting a few seconds before totally shutting down seems to empty the outbox.
I clearly have no handle yet on this problem, People report me that I send many double emails, and indeed the sent items proofs this problem. It all started recently after upgrading from 9.04 to ubuntu 9.10 on Dell Mini 9, Many problems arose since. Double icons in gnome and gnome menu bar mixed up. Evolution 2.28.1 is my current version. I hope the next upgrade to 10.04 will free me from this problem as it only came up the last few months and is really annoying to think about closing evolution first before shutting down the computer. -- Evolution resends old mail after power failure https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/64953 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
