Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: gnome-panel
Problem: Since upgrading to Lucid(Beta 1) from Karmic, I have been
troubled by the inability to shutdown my Samsung NC10 netbook using the
System > Shutdown or Shutdown applet in gnome. I am now at Lucid RC
level for all curent fixes and this problem remains. The same is seen
when performing a reboot.
For the most cases these options does nothing. Repeated selection of the
shutdown option changes nothing. To shutdown or reboot I have to use the
terminal and sudo shutdown -h now.
This did not happen in Karmic and it happens 80% of the time in Lucid. I
have experienced this with multiple levels of the 2.6.32 kernel.
