I have a similar issue on my Samsung R730, the buttons I use are Fn + Up/Down arrow. They don't seem to work and for some reason if I get into Ubuntu and then plug my power charger in, the battery charges but I don't get an automatically brighter screen.
To get the screen brighter, I have to adjust it with the Fn + Up key BEFORE I get into Ubuntu, or have the AC plugged in before I get into Ubuntu. -- Cannot adjust brightness in Lucid Lynx https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/555122 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-power-manager in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
