You have been subscribed to a public bug: Binary package hint: network-manager
How to reproduce: 1) Click the the nm-applet icon once, to get the connection menu. 2) Click the same icon once again, to dismiss the menu. 3) Leave the mouse cursor above the nm-applet icon. Expected behavior: nothing special. Actual behavior: The icon area starts to flicker, with some status message being displayed and hidden so fast that I cannot read what it says. The phenomenon disappears as soon as I move the cursor away from the icon. This not only looks bad, it also makes the CPU usage (nm-applet + Xorg) climb considerably.
