Thanks for taking time to report this bug and helping to make ubuntu
better. In empathy 2.30 after setting your internet accounts in empathy
you are given an option to set 'people neatby' (avahi) account. I talked
upstream about people nearby not being offered in the list during
initial wizard and they say that behaviour is intentional.
