Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: gnome-power-manager
After upgrading from 9.10 to 10.04 I've noticed a real downgrade of
gnome-power-manager. Maybe this occurred because devicekit-power package
became obsolete.
Problem was that after upgrade gnome-power-manager stoped tracking
events. In 9.10 I had omnibook module installed, as I need blue-tooth
and brightness buttons support. That worked like a charm. After I
unplugged power adapter laptop gnome-power-manager changed ac status to
off-line and laptop-mode executed appropriate scripts. So, screen dimmed
and hdparm commands were executed. Now it doesn't do anything when I
plug-unplug adapter. And brightness control buttons (Fn-F6/Fn-F7)
stopped working too. Omnibook module still works as I can use bluetooth
and change brightness manually. Problem is in power-manager.
