I've noticed this occurs only if I start with AC unplugged. It dimes screen on startup and if I either plug or unplug later nothing happens. But I still able to control brightness manually using scripts (not Fn-Fx buttons).
If I start Ubuntu with AC power attached, everything is fine. I can control brightness using Fn-F6/Fn-F7 buttons. It also switches to battery mode if I unplug and then switches to AC mode when I plug adapter. I don't know how I can debug it and eliminate this problem. ** Summary changed: - gnome-power-manager doesn't get plug/unplug event in lucid + gnome-power-manager doesn't get plug/unplug event in lucid when started unplugged -- gnome-power-manager doesn't get plug/unplug event in lucid when started unplugged https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/573156 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-power-manager in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
