Confirming and attaching another image that makes it hang: http://www.winehq.org/images/winehq_logo_glass.png I have the exact symptoms as described in the bug description and in the comments above.
It's reproducible with current eog in ubuntu 10.04 lucid lynx. If it matters, I have done a clean format of root (/), while my /home was not formatted.
