Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-session

When you log in, on your desktop gnome-session should start and show :
-a toolbar
-icons and applets in this toolbar

But since I upgraded from 9.10 to 10.04 I have to quit or kill my X
session (depending on the symptom) and log in again.

Sometimes I haven't the toolbar, and no menu to exit X, I have to switch
to a text console and kill my X, sometimes I do have the toolbar but
applets are not started and I have to log out and in again to have it
run properly.

I'll attach screen-shots too.

** Affects: gnome-session (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
