Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: evince
Evince 2.30.0 in Ubuntu Lucid Lynx has the ability to choose the scaling
behavior in the print dialog when printing multiple pages on one sheet.
However, none of the options results in an output, where the width,
height and margins are scaled down _exactly_as they should.
Steps to reproduce
########################
1. Create an OpenOffice.org document with two DIN-A5 pages both completely
filled with an rectangle.
Export the file to pdf.
2. Open the pdf in evince 2.30.0.
Print the pdf to another pdf-file, while choosing to print both pages on
one DIN-A4 sheet, scaling "none"
Expected result
########################
The two a5-rectangles should fill the whole a4-page completely. No white space
should be visible.
When using "pdfnup" from the package "pdfjam" the result is exactly how it
should be.
Interesting: Evince 2.26.1 shows the correct result as well!
Observed result
########################
The output of evince 2.30.0 shows margins where no margins should be.
I will append some demo files to illustrate this.
I tried every possible combination of options in the print dialog of
evince -- with no success.
