Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: evolution

Package Evolution 2.28.3-0ubuntu9

I use an OpenLDAP 2.4.18-0ubuntu1 backend on Karmic for all my contacts.
Since upgrading my frontend to Lucid, 10.04, I can no longer update or
add contacts to LDAP using Evolution. I can delete contacts though, and
searching the database works as expected.

I am able to update, add and delete contacts via PHPLDAPAdmin, however I
had to apply the workaround in this bug
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/phpldapadmin/+bug/489619 for
the database to be accessible via PHPLDAPAdmin as well. Prior to adding
this workaround, the database was behaving read only for all apps.

The OpenLDAP database was created and worked as expected, (read, write,
modify, delete etc.) from Evolution on Ubuntu 8.04. It was exported
from OpenLDAP in 8.04 32 bit, and then imported to clean OpenLDAP in
9.10, 64 bit, package 2.4.18-0ubuntu1 as part of a server upgrade. The
slapd.conf was migrated as was.

Thanks
