Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-terminal

gnome-terminal 2.29.6 on Ubuntu 10.4:

since upgrading to this version, the terminal cursor remains invisible
until i resize or move the window. i can type as normal, but cannot see
where the cursor is until moving/resizing.

To reproduce:

a) open a terminal.
b) shut down or hibernate
c) start up again, allowing the terminal to start up from the stored session.
d) try to type something in the terminal. On my system, the cursor is invisible.

Workaround: resize or move the terminal window, then the cursor is back
until the next hibernate/restart.

step...@jareth:~$ apt-cache policy gnome-terminal
