Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: evolution
When adding a gmail account to evolution using the add account wizard,
the wizard correctly fills in some settings fields, but puts incorrect
information in other fields.
The incoming and outgoing server fields are filled correctly.
The username is filled incorrectly ("user" instead of "[email protected]")
and incoming server encryption is also wrong ("none" instead of "SSL")
The outgoing server is set to "no authentication" which is also
incorrect.
Since the wizard fills in all fields it is natural for the user to
assume that the fields are filled correctly. If the wizard cannot fill
them correctly it should leave them blank.
