Binary package hint: gvfs
I went through this issue with a few people last night and today - all
day - trying to fix this.
Jordan_U (#Ubuntu - a big thanks to him) told me to submit a bug report
on this issue.
I have Ubuntu 10.04 LTS. My issue is that my DVD drive does not show up
in "Computer" when booted from my hard drive, but it will show up when
booting from my Live CD, occasionally, that is. My USB drive (nor
anything USB related), doesn't show up either unless it's in Live.
Another odd thing is that, in "Computer", it lists "floppy0" even though
I don't have a floppy drive and it's disabled in the BIOS.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
