Thank you for helping with making Ubuntu and its file manager Nautilus better by reporting this bug. I can confirm this issue on Lucid. What's even more confusing is that even though Ctrl+A selects all files in the directory when the cursor is in the search button, the enter button is catched by the search box, which you wouldn't expect when another keyboard actions just affected folders in a completely different view.
I've forwarded this bug upstream, so the work of the Bug Squad is done so far and the status can be set to Triaged. ** Bug watch added: GNOME Bug Tracker #619529 https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=619529 ** Also affects: nautilus via https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=619529 Importance: Unknown Status: Unknown ** Changed in: nautilus (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => Low ** Changed in: nautilus (Ubuntu) Status: New => Triaged ** Changed in: hundredpapercuts Importance: Undecided => Low ** Changed in: hundredpapercuts Status: New => Triaged -- Ctrl-A works inconsistent in search box of Nautilus https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/523421 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to nautilus in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
