This doesn't sound like a valid bug report really. tracker already
exists to index data - gnome-search-tool is just a front end to search
for files on your computer, and does not provide (and isn't meant to
provide) any backend for indexing data. There is no such things as gnome
search engine.

If you want data indexed so that you can search for it quickly, then
install tracker (but use the one from https://edge.launchpad.net
/~tracker-team/+archive/tracker and not out of the archive)
