When 'totem-audio-preview myjingle.mp3' is started from the command
line, it never exits after done playing.
I used such a command in cGmail 0.6.1 to play a jingle on incoming mail,
and noticed that pulseaudio is taking >25% of CPU time although no sound
is audible.
