Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. This bug has been fixed by upstream and should be available in a future release. These symbols are deprecated and when you are building with "configure", the option to disable deprecated symbols is used. This option exists to alert the developers of possible problems with future compatibility, so it is not really a bug.
Because the package builds correctly, and the fact that the developers of the software were already aware of the problem, I am marking this bug as Invalid. Thanks again, and don't hesitate to submit bug reports in the future. ** Changed in: xchat-gnome (Ubuntu) Status: New => Invalid -- xchat-gnome source fails to build https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/587016 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to xchat-gnome in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
