Yes, this s reproducible. You must change Colours in Nautilus - Edit>Backgrounds and symbols>Colours, then change background into gradient > Drag&Drop two different colours as background.
Starting Nautilus is not maximize, then the gradient background is match to resized Nautilus window. When maximize the gradient background stay the same.
