Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-power-manager

Hello,
I experience a strange bug on my notebook, since I upgraded to 10.04 amd64.
When I boot up, the Power-Applet does not recognize the battery. No "On
battery" tab is shown. The Applet always shows the "On AC" Symbol. The notebook
also does not recognize when the battery reaches a critical level. The notebook
shuts down hard. If I log out and log back in, the battery Applet works like it
is supposed to. It shows the current battery stage and offers the "on battery"
tab to change the preferences.

It also helps to unplug the Battery, while connected to the AC. Once the
battery is plugged in it is recognized and everything works fine.
I have checked whether this is an ACPI Problem. But "cat
/proc/acpi/battery/BAT0/info" always shows the correct informations.

If you need further information, I will be happy to provide them.
I hope you can help me..

Thanks.
