Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-panel

I'm not sure if it's the update that caused it but since installing last
night's updates every time I log in there's something different wrong
with the GNOME panels.

First the clock/calendar/weather was in the middle of the panel (to the
right of the indicators), not so bad except that I couldn't move it
back. After trying a few things I deleted the panel, added a new one,
added the menu, shortcuts, notifications, system tray, me-menu etc. I
log out.

Second time I log in everything is ordered correctly but all my
application shortcuts are missing and the notification area wants
resizing, I add my shortcuts to the panel again, sometime later I log
out.

Third time I log in the problem is with the bottom panel; the Workspace
Switcher is missing and there is a duplicate of the Force Quit that
behaves at one. I don't seem to be able to move it or remove the
duplicate so I delete that panel and make a new one set up as before,
show desktop. window selection buttons, force quit, workspace switcher,
deleted items. I haven't logged out since then.
