When the machine is left alone then the screen will display black,
however the backlight will remain lit for a considerable amount of time
there after. An easy way to check is by putting the machine in a
totally dark room, the screen should not be glowing. This is a bug
because its not Green. Global warming is a very serious threat and I
wish Canonical would do more to help.
