I believe I figured it out - it's actually a usability issue.  There was
a "bookmark name" field that I wasn't paying attention to, expecting a
reasonable default like I had in previous Gnomes.  Now the default is a
blank name, presumably from not entering anything in the field.

Instead we should default to something more sensible, like what the name
is listed as in the Places menu.  I'm still not sure why these two are
different.
