The left pane of Disk Utility lists controllers, then disks and arrays
within these. Some are listed correctly (as in PATA or SATA), like the
JMicron controllers, which are correctly listed, one as PATA, the other
as SATA. However, the Intel controllers are always listed as PATA (my
82801JI controller included, as shown in the screenshot).
