In my case when I come her on launchpad to file a bug using firefox, then I need to upload debug.txt. But it is not allowing me to click on that debug.txt which was in my /home/username. it keep opening another folder adn wrong file. After that I shift my debug.txt from /home/username to /home/usernmae/Documents and then it worked, it selects the proper file.
