Binary package hint: gnome-session-bin
This has hapend the second time for me.
I'm running XFCE from XUbuntu not plain Ubuntu.
gnome-session package is _not_ installed!
My X11 session was killed right after I held down a key combination ([F1
or F4] and [Ctrl or Alt] - don't remember exactly)
