Pedro, I'm running a fully updated Lucid install and the Sound Preferences look exactly the same. There are tabs for Sound Effects, Hardware, Input, Output, and Applications. In none of these sections is there any settings other than volume and balance. If, however, I type in "alsamixer" into a terminal window, I have access to all adjustable settings. I don't know which new version of Gnome Media you are referring to, but I see no difference on my system (in Sound Preferences). Or is this something that is not in the standard repos?
