Actually, the dell notebook issue was something completely different,
and actually a different bug.
Hitting the function keys without the Fn key pressed triggered their
special dell feature. F3 was for battery status, heh... I've got a
pretty good idea which package that is, and it's going to get removed
shortly.
This bug can be closed.
