Thank you both, this fixed the issue.  Looking back at my log post I see
the "folders.db" file shown just before the error message.  Even though
there seem to be "..if not exist create.." statements even if I was sure
it would be re-created I would not  deleted it because I do not know the
data it contains or if it is just an index file of the existing folders
in Evolution.  Is there a place to find out technical information on
Evolution?

I have used Outlook with Sendmail as a back-end.  When Outlook has a
size problem or indexing problem a recovery, if any, is only partially
successful.  Evolution has been working great since I started to use it
and this full recovery of all emails, folders, rules, etc. has me sold
on Evolution.

This bug has been resolved for me.  Thanks again.
