Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: evolution

Active Tasks filter selects ALL tasks which have not finished instead of just
Active tasks (Which are tasks that HAVE STARTED but ARE NOT COMPLETE) For
example, the 10 yearly maintenance for a fuel tank may start in April 2016 and
is due for completion in August 2016. it is NOT active now just because it is
not complete. The task doesn't even start for another 5 years!
Evolution is not the only PIM to get this wrong, of course. MS Outlook and
Thunderbird Lightning also make the same mistake. In fact it appears to be only
Novell Groupwise which understands this and displays just (really) active tasks
by default. At least it did back in 1990. Sadly its all been downhill since
Windows wrested control of networking from Novell.
