O.k., but it is not the same problem. My problem is, when installing 
Ubuntu 6.06 in the only drive I have. The drive is recognized, but 
partitions not. These are my partitios on an IBM-HITACHI 80gb:

1) FAT 16 - primary
2) Extended with: fat32,ext3,swap,ext3

The only partition recognized is FAT 16, and gparted says it is a 80 gb. 
partition (the hole disk). Cfdisk and every other program (except 
Qtparted), recognize partitions o.k.
Gparted and Qtparted uses parted libs, so it seems the problem is parted 
libs...
As I can't use another program during installation, I simply can't 
install Ubuntu. Maybe I should contact libparted developers...
