You have been subscribed to a public bug:
Printing to PDF currently defaults to saving the document in the user's
home folder. A more appropriate place would be into the user's documents
folder.
To reproduce:
1. Open a program that can print. In this example, we will use Firefox.
2. Navigate to any page.
3. Navigate to File -> Print and select Print.
4. Select Print to File.
5. Observe that the default folder is the home folder.
