Binary package hint: apparmor
Using ubuntu 10.04,
mozplugger 1.13.3-1-ubuntu1
appArmor 2.5-0ubuntu3
evince 2.30.3-0ubuntu1.1
expected to happen: open a pdf inside firefox
happened instead: evince fail to open with message file: access denied
Evince cannot open a embedded pdf file within firefox , because it cant read
files from /dev/shm, firefox's save dir for pdf file.
Solution :
add a line: /dev/shm/** r,
to: /etc/apparmor.d/abstractions/evince
the same, with context:
# move out to the gnome abstraction if anyone else needs these
/dev/shm/** r,
/dev/.udev/db/* r,
then reload apparmor:
sudo invoke-rc.d apparmor reload
annoying, because I need to do it every apparmor update.
