  Binary package hint: gnome-screensaver

My screen sometimes goes to the "enter password to unlock" box when I
move the mouse, without the screensaver (set to blank screen) being
active first; this seems to be more likely after a few minutes of
inactivity, but I do not have a reliable way to trigger it (it does not
occur when the fade-out immediately preceding normal screensaver
  activation is interrupted).

It first occurred fairly recently, but I do not remember exactly when.
