Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: file-roller
For the last half hour or so I've been trying to make a backup of my
home folder. I have an NTFS partition mounted at
/media/4E05F70A08543D28. I go to my Home Folder and press Ctrl+H to view
all the folders, press Ctrl+A to select all the files, right click and
click Compress. I tell file-roller to save in that NTFS partition. I
click on "Create" and it immediately says "Permission denied" without
telling me what it does not have access to. I have full Read/Write
rights on my home folder and on the NTFS partition. So the "Permission
denied" message is meaningless without telling me why permission has
been denied.
It shouldn't be this hard to make a backup.
