Mmmm... I don't know if the problem is exactly in the hal package. If I do:
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~ $ grep "DVD±R" /usr/share/locale-langpack/es/LC_MESSAGES/*.mo Binary file /usr/share/locale-langpack/es/LC_MESSAGES/gnome-vfs-2.0.mo matches [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~ $ Therefore, the gnome-vfs-2.0.mo file contains the volume & media labels, like "DVD+R", "DVD-RAM", "Floppy", "Drive", and so on. This gnome- vfs-2.0.mo file contains all the translations, so I don't know where could be the problem. Besides that, I don't know what is the Rosetta's template corresponding to gnome-vfs-2.0.mo file. I tried to go to: https://launchpad.net/distros/ubuntu/edgy/+source/gnome-vfs-2.0 but Launchpad says "Page not found". This is a very annoying bug for a Spanish user. Dapper, Breezy and so doesn't have it. -- [Edgy] Volume names appears untranslated https://launchpad.net/bugs/62502 -- desktop-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
